![]() ![]() It should be understood that D2 was great for its time, being one of the first ARPGs with deep multilayered itemization. There are many that are much, much better, Torchlight 2 for example, Titan Quest was in many way superior, Borderlands 1 was better, etc etc. I can see you're only comparing it to 2 other games, whereas there are countless games with itemization that you could have compared it to. There’s pretty much no reason to go anything else than enigma in endgame for 99% of builds.ĭ2 has always had halfway decent itemization but by no means is it "stunningly good". Teleport should be what makes the armor unique, and it should habe some downsides to it (maybe no + skills or something) for it to be balanced. there should be more attractive alternatives without you having to feel you’re inefficient when building something else.Įnigma is so broken you could easily build it on a sorc. Im not saying there shouldn’t be strong endgame runewords, there absolutely should.īut you know. How is this not overtuned? It’s definitely not balanced at all. 2 to all skills, teleport, strength, increased max life, makes you way more tanky. It will be better than 99,999% of weapons you will ever find. I was refering to runewords like spirit and insight with the „easy to come by“ statement. It also opened up the possibility for some SERIOUSLY powerful items that are ridiculously rare and thus equally expensive. While most runewords are just as powerful, and there are still BIS runewords for builds, many "good rolled/corrupted uniques" compete directly with the strong runewords, and variety in both builds and gear loadouts become faaaar more diverse. You can basically cube any magic/rare/unique item with a "mod specific item" and your item has a 25% chance to break, 25% to add random sockets and 50% chance to add an affix to the unique.Īdditionally, there is an item which adds sockets to a magic/rare/unique item.īasically, you CAN get +1 skill on the corruption and additionally get sockets from the item, making your unique extremely powerful and valuable. While both runewords and uniques are rebalanced on the mod, there is a big difference between runewords and magic/rare/unique items: Corruption. The mod Project Diablo 2 got it just right IMO: They are quite unbalanced on D2, 100% agree. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread ![]()
